Karuppukavuni Idlly


Black Rice Idlly:



1.Boiled Karuppukavuni rice =  4cup 

2.Urad daal or ulunthu = 1cup

3.Aathoor kichadi =1 cup(optional)

4.Fenugreek or vendayam= 1/2 spoon

Procedure:

1.Soak all the ingredients overnight .

2.Grind in mixer or grinder. Add salt as required.

3.Leave it to ferment for 8 hours.

4.Steam the wet fermented flour for 15min in high flame.

Note: All ingredients can be grinded in single shot for need of grinding separately.

Coconut chutney:

1.Grated coconut = 1 handful.

2.Green chilly  = 2

3.Ginger = 1 inch

4.Tamarind small amount

5.Salt as required.

Tadka:

Coconut oil

Mustard as required

Hing

Curry leaf

Procedure:

1.Grind all the ingredients in a blender

2.Add tadka to grinded paste

Now Hot soft and fluffy idllies are ready to serve with coconut chutney.
